Day 64: March 6, Numbers 18-19; Day 65: March 7, Numbers 20-21

Numbers 18-19:

18:5 - The priests are to keep what away from Israel?
18:24 - Should this passage transition to the church and the pastor?
18:26 - Should this passage transition to the pastor and God?
Numbers 20-21:


20:2-9 - Should the people of Israel have learned by now?

20:12 - What? Why?

20:18-21 - Why the transition between 1st person plural and 1st person singular?

21:2-3 - What does it mean to "devote to destruction?" Is this hard to swallow?

21:5 - What is the root sin?

21:8-9 - What is God showing amidst his judgment?

21:22 - What are the people of Israel promising?

    Num. 18:26 - Should this passage transition to the pastor and God?

    I'd say verse 24 does carry over, but more in the sense of the people and the church. The people are to give, and that money is to be used wisely for God's kingdom. Whether, and how much, is to go directly to the pastor is another matter.

    As for v. 26, I'd say, yes, it does transition as you suggest. Whether their salary comes from the church or from secular employment, pastors need to give too, both out of obedience to God and as an example to the flock.
